The Police Headquarters in Abuja recently paraded one Faith Nuhu and five others who specialised in child kidnapping and sale of children. The suspects, among them, a medical doctor, were arrested after Faith Nuhu, kidnapped three of her sister’s children but ended up selling two of them at N600,000 to one Evelyn Ojiaku, who operates an illegal maternity home at Owerri, Imo State. The kidnapped children, Grace Musa Idris, aged 13, Philip Musa Idris, 3, and Paul Musa Idris, were allegedly kidnapped by Faith from their home in Kafanchan, Kaduna State on the pretext of going to buy them biscuits. Army authorities say Special Forces prosecuting the war on terror in Nigeria’s north have arrested a Boko Haram Commander identified as Bulama Modu, who has for long been wanted by security agencies.
The troops also rescued 241 hostages particularly women and children.
According to a statement signed by Col. Sani Usman, Acting Director, Army Public Relations, on Wednesday, advancing troops along Banki axis made tremendous progress during which they cleared two Boko Haram terrorists’ camps at Jangurori and Bulatori villages.
